Miss M's boudoir motivation:
"Coming into the session, I was definitely on the fence. I'd been struggling with loving myself and my body for years, and earlier this year, I finally decided that enough was enough. I started my health and wellness journey and the year of making myself a priority, too. I've come to the last few months where I've decided that I'm going to be my own passion because you can't pour from an empty cup."
Q: Work-Life Balance: Finding balance between career ambitions and personal life can be tricky. What strategies do you use to juggle it all (or at least try to)?
A: Being in a salaried position at my place of work, initially made me feel like I was expected to stay late regularly. Taking back my time and using my PTO has been the best thing I have done for myself and my family! I may stay late every now and again, but it's not the expectation. Having a supportive leadership team definitely helps!
Q: Unplugging to Recharge: In our constantly connected world, digital detox is crucial. How do you create space for yourself to unplug and recharge?
A: I've actually gone on "breaks" from social media outlets. Going as far as disabling my Facebook account so I wasn't doom scrolling. I've also set some "routines" in my phone that push me out of apps at a certain time
Q: Financial Power: Financial independence is a powerful tool. How do you manage your finances, and what tips would you give other women for taking control of their money?
A: Finances can be a scary thing to manage when you've not been given much guidance on how to do so, I definitely recommend giving yourself some grace as you learn! Managing finances for me has been a matter of setting up auto transfers for my regular bills into a separate savings account, each time a pay check comes in so I'm not scrambling to find the funds when the payments are due. I also fully recommend using any money management resources your bank has available, because it will give you an idea of where you're spending your money.
