One of the things I hear all the time from women considering a boudoir session is that they wonder if they’ve "waited too long".
The truth is, many of the women I photograph at my Medford Wisconsin boudoir studio are not doing this because they suddenly feel perfect or because their body once again looks exactly the way it did ten years ago. They’re doing it because they’ve realized just how quickly life moves. I don't know about you but the older I get the FASTER time flies!
For this bombshell, her session is a way for her to create proof that she is amazing exactly as she is right now. Not a younger version. Not a future version. Her. Right now.
That photographic evidence is one of my favorite things about boudoir photography. Years from now, these images become more than photographs. They become memories of a season of your life you may not fully appreciate until it has long passed. (Ever looked back at your HS pics and wondered why you were so hard on yourself? Yeah, this is like that, only for your future self).
If you’ve been wondering whether you’re too (insert your excuse here) for boudoir photography, you’re probably asking the wrong question.
A better one might be: How can I preserve this version of myself before she changes again?
At Petal & Pose Boudoir in Northern Wisconsin, I photograph women of all ages and guide you through posing from beginning to end. You do not need to know what to wear or how to pose, and you do not need to wait until you feel more confident in your body to do this. Come see me now. As you are. Let't create a beautiful memory for you.
Q: What made you decide to do this? What part of you said yes?
The older I get, the more I understand how quickly our bodies change. We get a few more lines, a few more aches, and somehow the years start moving faster. That’s one reason I believe boudoir photography matters so much. It isn’t about having the “perfect” body or waiting until you feel completely confident. It’s about documenting who you are right now. Because today, you are the youngest you will ever be again. Years from now, when your body has changed and life looks different, I want you to be able to look back at these photographs and think, “Wow. I was beautiful.” And maybe realize you were beautiful the entire time.
